Generation 5
Generation Yacht Charters offer half day and full day sailing charters with friendly, experienced crew.
Charters depart from Bayswater Marina - North Shore, Downtown Auckland, Okahu Bay or Waiheke Island.

We take a maximum of 6 guests enabling you to have hands on involvement at every level if desired, or you can just sit back, relax and take it all in. We are flexible about sailing routes on exclusive charters, and willing to accommodate special requests when possible, so please contact us to discuss your wishes.

Charter Costs and Inclusions:

  Open 2 4 to 6 3 hrs Morning or Afternoon Tea $95pp
Day Sail Exclusive 2 Up to 4 5 - 6 hrs Morning / Aft Tea / Lunch $1,075
  Open 2 4 to 6 5 - 6 hrs Morning / Aft Tea / Lunch $215pp

All Charters Include:
  • Thorough safety briefing
  • Sail raising
  • Experience helming, tacking and gibing
  • Hands on sailing if desired - guests often sail the yacht themselves (with crew close by)
  • Morning or afternoon tea (tea / coffee / selection of chilled juices / biscuits)
  • Possible marine life includes penguins, sea birds, dolphins, orcas


Indicative Sailing Route - click to enlarge map         Day Sail - Downtown Auckland:
  • Sail down the harbour to past Bean Rock Lighthouse,
    Rangitoto Island, Browns Island
  • Morning tea
  • Anchor in a sheltered bay at Motuihe Island
  • Swimming off the back platform (towels provided)
  • Two course restaurant lunch on deck
  • Sail back up the harbour and under the harbour bridge
  • Afternoon tea
  • Final sail and return to Downtown Auckland

  • Sail down the harbour to between Bean Rock Lighthouse,
    Rangitoto Island and North Head
  • Morning or afternoon tea
  • Sail back up the harbour and under the harbour bridge
  • Final sail
  • Return to Downtown Auckland

  • Sail around islands in the Hauraki Gulf
  • Morning tea
  • Anchor in a sheltered bay at Motuihe or Rakino Island
  • Swimming off the back platform (towels provided)
  • Two course restaurant lunch on deck
  • Sail around more islands (circumnavigate Motuihe Island)
  • Afternoon tea
  • Final sail and return to Waiheke Island
          Half Day Sail - Waiheke Island:
  • Sail around islands in the Hauraki Gulf
  • Morning or afternoon tea
  • Final sail and return to Waiheke Island
  • Note: the route would be part of the Waiheke Day Sail route above (which part depends on the weather)
